No — we see new patients for emergency appointments. If you’re not already registered with us, just let the team know when you call and we’ll take your details over the phone.
We keep same-day slots available every day for emergencies. In most cases we can see you the same day you call. If you ring first thing in the morning, the chances of a same-day appointment are highest.
Managing your pain is the first priority when you arrive. We’ll make sure you’re comfortable before we do anything else. Most emergency treatments are carried out under local anaesthetic, and if you’re particularly anxious we can discuss sedation options too.
The cost depends on what treatment is needed once we’ve assessed you. We’ll always explain the costs clearly before we proceed — there are no surprise charges. If you’re concerned about cost, mention it when you call and we can talk through your options.
Time matters with a knocked-out tooth. Pick it up by the crown (the white part), not the root. If it’s dirty, rinse it gently with milk or clean water — don’t scrub it. If you can, place it back in the socket and hold it there, or keep it in a glass of milk. Then call us immediately. The sooner we see you, the better the chance of saving the tooth.
