Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

We have received clarification from our professional bodies about the most appropriate way of delivering dental care to our patients during this unprecedented time.
You will be aware of the need for us all to help each other by acting in an appropriate and responsible fashion. Key to this is social distancing – to protect all of us and in particular the more vulnerable members of our society.
With this in mind, Harwood Dental Care will be moving to an emergency only service with immediate effect. This means the inevitable delay of all non-urgent treatments until a time when it is deemed suitable to recommence a more normal service.
We are here for you: What you need to do if you have a dental emergency
If you are suffering from an urgent dental problem that cannot wait please call us on 01204 304568. Please DO NOT call into the practice in person – first contact must be by telephone. Our reception team will then, if necessary, arrange an emergency appointment or dentist call back for you.
The treatments carried out will be designed to alleviate pain as efficiently as possible whilst protecting you and our team. Emergency consultations will continue to be covered by your membership plans. Those who are not on any membership plans will be charged for their emergency consultations and any subsequent treatment required.
Please try and come alone
We would be grateful if as an adult you came alone. We understand that if it is your child who has a problem they must attend with an adult. Please try to ensure only ONE adult brings the child.
I am not sure that my problem is an emergency. What should I do?
If you are not sure simply give us a ring and will advise you. If you cannot ring, send us an email to info@harwooddentalcare.co.uk. If needed, we will arrange a call back from one of our dentists.
I am self-isolating and I have got a dental problem
Ring the practice on 01204 304568 and we will advise you on what to do.
What happens if my problem occurs after hours or at a weekend?
If you have a dental emergency out of hours or at the weekend please call the practice on 01204 304568 and follow the instructions on our recorded message. Our out of hours emergency service for our practice plan members continues as normal but will be limited to the most urgent care only – such as dental trauma, uncontrolled bleeding, acute infections and abscesses.
Opening hours
Our opening hours for the foreseeable future are as follows:
Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm
During the next three months we have closed our early morning and late evening openings.
