- Friendly, professional team

- Comprehensive oral examination
Your first appointment with us will last 40 minutes, which gives us plenty of time to examine your mouth, teeth and gums in detail. As well as providing us with a chance to get to know you, this appointment will help you get to know us too.
We offer family appointments so you can come in for dental health checks as a family. If you have young children, it can be really reassuring for them to see you having a check-up and know that there’s nothing to be scared about. Attending dental health checks together is also a great time saver and helps to promote good oral health as a family priority.
What happens during your first appointment? During this appointment we check that your tongue, lips, cheeks and glands are healthy and we always carry out mouth cancer screening at every visit. Early detection of mouth cancer increases the chance of survival, so this can literally save your life.
We take x-rays at regular intervals to be sure the areas inside, between and underneath your teeth are healthy. We also check that you have good bone levels to support your teeth. We carefully monitor your gums and check there is no plaque on your teeth. Hard plaque can build up between visits and is the main cause of tooth decay, gum disease and tooth loss. It is important to detect gum disease in its early stages, as this is a risk factor for heart and lung disease, diabetes, strokes and problems with pregnancy.
